These and more will be represented at the nine sim-wide Fantasy Faire. Nine sims, all themed to fit a certain genre, will be filled to the brim with fantasy creators. Proceeds will benefit the Relay for Life, as with many other Fairs. And is it ever Fair season! The Accessory Fair is wrapping up, the Clothing Fair wasn't long ago, and the Pose Fair is very soon. The Fantasy Faire kicks off on April 16.
I had the great pleasure of talking to Luna Barak, owner and creator of Fantavatar and Moonstruck, and a sponsor of the Faire. Fantavatar is complete fantasy avatars, while Moonstruck concentrates on fantasy costumes.
When Luna first rezzed, she enjoyed roleplaying in Medieval/Fantasy sims. After a while, she felt the creators itch, and decided to design medieval and fantasy clothes and armor, branding it Moonstruck. Then, she decided to make full fantasy avatars under the brand FANTAVATAR. She says the goal of FANTAVATAR is to provide roleplayers with a wide range of well-made, high-quality fantasy avatars.
FANTAVATAR and Moonstruck are both on Luna's sim, called FANTAVATAR. Along with her stores, there is a historical fantasy market, full of amazing creators in the genre, and boat tours and myserious caves for exploring and a theatre for musical events.
Luna's most recent project is the HISTORICAL REVIEWS MAGAZINE. It is a magazine that focuses on "historical and fantasy themes in Second Life, giving space to all the people who are contributing to these themes with educational or commercial purposes. This magazine is intended as a service for all those who love the historical fantasy themes, letting them know, through articles and interviews, about new places for exploring and the many talented creators working all over the grid."
She participated in Fantasy Faire 2009; she did so to make her brand more well known. When she discovered that the Faire was connected to RFL, it made it even eaisier to join. Luna decided to be a sponsor this year because she wanted to be even more involved.

Then I went downstairs to Fantavatar to check it out. Fantavatar is for full fantasy avatars. Being an elf, I was interested. And there was so much to look at! There are male and female avatars. There are faun, elf, and fairy avatars. Luna also offers hair made to match her avatars!
I'll definitely be exploring Avatopia and the rest of the Fantasy Faire.
