The Many Sides of Lola: Quirky

The start of this outfit was the hair: A place to call home in Chocolate Cake by Clawtooth by Clawtooth. It comes with a bird that stands on the edge of the nest. I am obviously not wearing them. Then I got dress from Parallel Love. It's a fun, cute, comfy dress that comes in a plethora of colors. Here's the Mustard color. I topped it off with an oldie: nikukyu fur vest from a past hunt.
At this point, I was feeling a bit bare. So I threw on my Aoharu ripped skinny jeans. I still didn't feel like this outfit was unique enough, so I put my new floral dress from Aoharu under my yellow dress. I love the cute floral print.
Glasses are a big part of Japanese SL style, so I jetted to DUBOO for some. I opted for Grandpa's Broken Glasses in brown. I love the name of them. Just to be ironic, I'm wearing the Bird Ring from Paper Couture. It's really cute, but I couldn't resist. The necklace, called Fishnet Wrapped Pearls in Cream, are also from Paper Couture.
The shoes are Maitreya's Allure tights. The tights color is a grey called Powder, and I changed the shoe color to Bordeaux.
The makeup is a yellow, to match the yellow dress. To add a little more color, I added the Orange lipstick.Wednesday, May 12, 2010
The Many Sides of Lola: Couture

The Bird Tale lashes from Glam Affair adds some drama to my beautiful face.
Weee! The Many Sides of Lola: Classic
A Classic staple is the button down. Mine is the *COCO* Broadcloth Shirt in White. Another Classic staple is the blazer. I used *Luster's Frida blazer in Noir. I modded the cuffs to make it look like the white cuffs are over the black cuffs. The bottoms are the slate coloring of the Jump Her! wide pants from Veschi.
The belt is from Fri.Day, and matches the lipstick from LeLutka. The hair is from LeLutka also, and comes with the new Lola skins.

The Many Sides of Lola
My interpretation of the Boho style uses, and almost abuses, Zaara. The Indian goddess' creations make up almost all of my outfit. The slightly-new Syona Kurta is on top, in maroon. The Chindar pants in brown offer some modesty from the high leg slit. Both items are well done, with some of the best wrinkles and folds I've seen.
The Boho style is known to use accessories, and I didn't want to miss out on that action. The necklace is from Zaara, and is called Karmuka. It is available in two versions: a coral and turquoise version, and a wooden version, which I am using to incorporate the brown of the Churidar pants.
I am also using Fashionably Dead's Hair Stuff in Kill The White Swan. This is actually the only item in my outfit that I didn't buy today. It was the inspiration for my purchases today, and for this Boho look. To pull in the dark brown from one of the feathers, I got something I'll be using in RL all summer: Indie Sandals by C'est Moi! It has a cute little ruffle, which I love.
For my Boho look, I used Makeup 2 from Lola. To keep the look from being too high fashion, I used the Natural Matte lipstick tattoo, which is included. I think the dark tone, which I am wearing, is a little light. Not to say I don't like it; just the past pictures of it showed up a bit darker. The fatpack of 8 makeups, 11 lipstick tattoos, two hairs, 8 of the same makeups with hairbases, two pubic hair options, two cleavage options, and a pair of eyelashes costs L$5000. That's great news when one makeup costs over $L1000.
Peace!Koty

Let's Go Fly a Kite
Instead of wearing a bathing suit, I used [DECOY]'s Zafrina dress. I got it in Earth, but it comes in three more color combos. I love the summery look of this dress. It's just so cute.

For my hair, I wanted to stick with the casual look. So I used an old favorite: Truth in Izzy. Izzy is a cute side pony.
Also, I want Lola! I can't wait for LeLutka's new Lola skins! I need her!

My Day Off

I thought I'd do a cute, casual look. Something for summer.
I started with this cute dress from LeLutka, called Kaori. This is something I'd really love to wear in RL. The hair is a cute look from !lamb, called I'm a realist. It's cute and casual. Just perfect for this look. The skin is from Cupcakes, and this time I didn't use the cleavage skin. i didn't want this look to be sexy.Thursday, May 6, 2010
Monkey Love
This look is simple, but very chic. The top is from the Courtney dress from LeLutka. I love the collar. The skirt is from So Many Styles. I love the hourglass shape this outfit creates. The shoes are Maitreya Gold in the Allure style.
I chose a short bob, courtesy of !lamb. The outfit needed a little simplicity. The skin is also very simple.
I just felt a need for a simple, but very chic look. Enjoy!Style Notes:

Tea Time!
This look started with the Gonnie jacket from &Bean. I really love this jacket. It's light and springy, just right for a tea party. I couldn't decide which top to wear, but I finally settled on the Gonnie bra. As to not wear the whole Gonnie outfit, I brought out the Jori skirt in Rose from 5th & Oxford. Jori is just perfect for a tea party.
At this point, I thought the look was too pink. Not that I don't like pink; I just needed a little green. I got that green with Clawtooth's Tea Time hat in Mossy. Under the hat is Poppy in coffee from Truth. It was last weeks release, and I love it. The bangs are wonderful! The style is a bit flexi, so it moves like it were real hair.
I also added some green with the Lime makeup of the Genius line in the Cocoa tone. I love how it picks up the green from the jacket. To finish the look, I used [LeLutka]'s Saffron Pumps in Neutral Sand.Style Notes:

Summer

So, I thought I'd do a summer look. Something simple, something sweet.

I started with the Fri.Day Regular Wash jean shorts. The shorts are something I would actually wear in Real Life. The top is from !Ohmai, and is a hunt gift from a while ago. I thought it could make an appearance. The shoes are a group gift from Duh! Not really something I'd wear to work(I work at a day camp during the summer), but they're cute nontheless. The hair is from Clawtooth, and is simple, and cute.
The stepladder is from Olive Juice. It's a great deal: $L75! It has five poses, and it's great for spring.Style Notes:
Vintage Look
I feel so badass in this outfit, but from the 40's. Like I could rob a bank or something. The base of this look is the dress from *Luster. It screams classic badass. Something that Bonnie from Bonnie and Clyde would wear. To keep with the style era, I added a Truth hairstyle, by the name of Amanda. Amanda has blunt bangs(fringe), with hair pulled back and swept to one side. It's classic but modern.
The skin is a Limited Edition L.Fauna skin, called Velvet. It said the skin was available only until April 30, but obviously not. It has a great old-school sex appeal. I love it.Personal Update: The funeral was fine. The trip was good, considering what the purpose was. My grandma will be missed. I love her.
