The Many Sides of Lola: Classic

The Classic style is characterized as blazers, button down shirts, and slacks. In high school, that was pretty much my dress code, so I try to avoid them. But I love a challenge.
A Classic staple is the button down. Mine is the *COCO* Broadcloth Shirt in White. Another Classic staple is the blazer. I used *Luster's Frida blazer in Noir. I modded the cuffs to make it look like the white cuffs are over the black cuffs. The bottoms are the slate coloring of the Jump Her! wide pants from Veschi.

The belt is from Fri.Day, and matches the lipstick from LeLutka. The hair is from LeLutka also, and comes with the new Lola skins.

Retail Therapy

I went shopping today. Oh, yes I did. I went wild.

One of my favorite purchases today was the Mahrai dress in bloom from Zaara. In this look, I used the skirt and belt from the dress. It is perfect for spring. The femininity of the skirt needed some contrast, so I ran over to COCO. I snapped up something I've had my eye on for a while: the Ruffle Jacket in Black. You all know I love shoulder decorations, and the ruffles are just my cup of tea. Mmm, tea. That sounds good right now.All of the poses I'm using are from Long Awkward Pose, and is part of the SL Daily Deals. Two packs for the price of one! The packs are Wonder Girls, which pays homage to some amazing women on the grid, and Bolly All the Time, a set inspired by Bollywood, India's own version of Hollywood.

Finally!

Remember that *COCO* skirt I couldn't find a top for? I found one! House of Fox, loving referred to as HOF, has a beautiful sheer top. It comes with the neck ruff, shown, cuffs, and shoulder ruffles, that are not shown.

This sheer is perfectly executed. The shadows are great, and I love the highlight on the tummy. The pin-tucks are an ingenious detail. It's tastefully done, I think. To tame it down a bit, I used a bra from Kenzie and Co., which is in a bag of freebies. I think it balances, yet adds to, the drama of the outfit.
One of my favorite skins is from the (vive9) freebie giveaway, which, sadly, is over. This is the GoldRush makeup. The face looks very soft, and I love the gold makeup. The lips are juciy, and the nose is perfect.

The Fashionable Elf

This little elf needs some fashion!

And I got it. The skirt is a gift from *COCO*, and it is wonderful. The lace texture is so well done, I swear I could reach out and touch it! It's so chic, I couldn't find a shirt to match the fashion, so I didn't. The hair I matched is the !lamb group gift. To give this outfit some color, I used a *CUPCAKES hunt gift called Raspberry in the Sambuca tone. Mmmm, raspberries.

The shoes are the ever-chic Tesla, and the ears are *UB*. Do you like my shape? It's new. I decided that I needed to be a bit fleshier. I think my ears go very well with my curvy shape. I've named it Lena, because it's my RL middle name. It's not for sale, but if you'd like it, feel free to contact me.

This outfit centers around the hair, which I got today as a gift from !lamb. The gift was given in Ink, which I'm wearing, and Powder. I love this hairstyle. It's fashiony, but still is a little dorky.


The shoes I'm wearing are from Duh!, and they are great. I love the color, and the details are great. I think this is an overall fun, stylish, casual look.

Duh, I Love Shoes!

Wasn’t that word really popular in the ‘90’s? I know I said it a lot.

The Dove White Moccasins from Duh!

I made a trip to Duh! for their new Skosh boots, and ended up loving the whole store. There is a great variety of shoes for girls, and a men’s section. There are boots, sexy heels, moccasins, heels, flats, sandals, and so much more. There are three Lucky Chairs, with unisex while moccasins, whomen’s pink Skosh boots, and a really high top sneaker. Dollarbies are available: a unisex emerald green moccasin, men’s white Skosh boots, and women’s berry Skosh boots. The footwear is also very affordable; I think the most expensive shoes are somewhere around L$100!

So, I’m all dressed for shopping! I wanted to be comfortable, and what doesn’t say comfortable like overalls! These overalls are a *COCO* gift. I’m wearing the Dark Blue version, but it comes with a Light Blue and a regular Blue version, too. Just join the group, and head over to the gift wall in-store. My comfy little shirt is the Capsleeve Tee from Fri.Day in the Halloween Purple tone. I got it during a hunt, so I don’t know if this color is available. I love it though! I wear it so much, that if it were in real life, it would be in shreds. The moccasins are from the Duh! Lucky Chair. There is a women’s version and a men’s version included. For each gender, though, there is a left shoe that has a walking sound and an AO. The women’s AO is a sexy walk, but I don’t know what the men’s is. Go look for yourself! I’ve included the SURL in the Style Notes. The hair is a cute pigtails look from Truth. I got it from that random person who asked me if I wanted freebies, so I don’t even know if it’s labeled right. The pose is from *Sh33k Poses and is a dollarbie.
The skin I’m in, of course, is from *CUPCAKES. It is the freckled version of the Daydream line in the Ebony makeup in the tone of Sambuca. I don’t know many chocolates that are freckled, but I love it. The eyes are my usual, the Aegean line in the shade of Delphi from *Zanzo*. My shape is a modified version of the Expo Gift Edition from Silhouette Shapes.

Also, I’m going to start blogging for the Fantasy Faire. It is a gathering of all fantasy-related creators for a few weeks, and it looks like it’ll be great. There will be performances, and so much more. I know, I know; fantasy isn’t really the fashion you want to be hearing about. Just bear with me. You’ll find something you love, whether it be a mermaid tale or a full dragon avi. The Faire will benefit the Relay for Life.

Sexy, sexy. I'm going out tonight! And I wanted to be sexy! One of the sexiest dresses I own is the *COCO* Shirred Tube Dress. It's a group gift, which comes in four yummy colors. I've got on the black.

And the shoes! She's So Unusal Shoes is having a L$1 on its group gifts, lucky chair items, and the like. I need a better picture. They are really cool! They also come with a tintable legwarmer.

My Day in RL

I decided to do a Day in the Life...RL.

My first order of business is working out. So I put a *COCO* gift on. The Athletic Shorts are great. They're comfy, and that's what I need when I'm exercising.

This shirt is so sweet, I just had to wear it. It's from Doppelganger Inc., and I know I'll be going back. This shirt was a gift; I just don't know where it's from. Oops. The sneakers were free from a random person who asked me if I wanted free stuff. It's a good look to work out in, and the hair is kept out of my eyes.

After I workedup a sweat in the gym, I went to class. I like to wear comfortable, stylish clothing to class. That's just who I am. So, I decided I'd throw on a pair of mens pants. These are from the Make Him Over Hunt, and they're really comfy. The shirt is a great, cute little thing. I think I got it on the Cupid's Heart Hunt. I also got the chairs on the hunt. Now, the sweater is cute, fun, and a little wierd. I got it on the Trapped in the 80's Hunt, and it's from Pig. It comes with a shirt, but I love the sweater.
