The Bird Tale lashes from Glam Affair adds some drama to my beautiful face.
Weee!
I started with this cute dress from LeLutka, called Kaori. This is something I'd really love to wear in RL. The hair is a cute look from !lamb, called I'm a realist. It's cute and casual. Just perfect for this look. The skin is from Cupcakes, and this time I didn't use the cleavage skin. i didn't want this look to be sexy.
This look is simple, but very chic. The top is from the Courtney dress from LeLutka. I love the collar. The skirt is from So Many Styles. I love the hourglass shape this outfit creates. The shoes are Maitreya Gold in the Allure style.
I chose a short bob, courtesy of !lamb. The outfit needed a little simplicity. The skin is also very simple.
I just felt a need for a simple, but very chic look. Enjoy!Style Notes:
Hair: !lamb. Bang Bang Bob - Snickers
Skin: *Cupcakes - Genius - Cocoa - Dark Love (Cleavage)
Ears: *UB* Elf Ears *plain*
Eyes: *Zanzo* Aegean (Delphi)
Shape: custom
Eyelashes: [glow] Studio Innocent. eyelashes - smooth
Top: [LeLutka]-COURTNEY-funeral
Skirt: {SMS} Chiffon Skirt Plain Black
Shoes: Maitreya Gold - Allure Black
Poses: This is a Fawn - Fluffy Pose 9; [LAP] - Wonder Girls-The Achariya
One of my favorite purchases today was the Mahrai dress in bloom from Zaara. In this look, I used the skirt and belt from the dress. It is perfect for spring. The femininity of the skirt needed some contrast, so I ran over to COCO. I snapped up something I've had my eye on for a while: the Ruffle Jacket in Black. You all know I love shoulder decorations, and the ruffles are just my cup of tea. Mmm, tea. That sounds good right now.
All of the poses I'm using are from Long Awkward Pose, and is part of the SL Daily Deals. Two packs for the price of one! The packs are Wonder Girls, which pays homage to some amazing women on the grid, and Bolly All the Time, a set inspired by Bollywood, India's own version of Hollywood.
Camile by Glam Affair helped me out with this gorgeous black shoulder decoration. I feel like I could fly away in it. To create a more casual look, I added a Chiffon Skirt from So Many Styles. Then, for an air of royality, the Fri.Day tank in Plum was added to the look.
The color black conotates feelings of sophisication, so !lamb's Witch in Snickers was needed. Witch is a high-fashion, but still sophisicated, hairstyle. Adding to the drama is the new Bird Tale lashes by Glam Affair. The purple in this *Cupcakes skin adds a feeling of royalty.
I promised a closer look at the Maitreya Allure shoes, so here they are. They are definitely high-fashion, but the shoes themselves give off a feeling of power. And just look at that detailing. Yumm.
Yet again, my outfit was still too sweet for my taste. The Death Blossoms Necklace from Happy Finds gave it that edge it needed. I also love the flowers in its eyes, which ties in nicely with the skirt.
On my feet is the Neutral Sands coloring of [LeLutka]'s Saffron Pumps. The color picks up the beige in the skirt quite nicely. I threw my hair up in a big topknot, courtesy of !lamb. The skin is from *Cupcakes, and is simple and neutral, like the rest of the look.
Still, I decided, the look wasn't colorful enough. So I highjacked one of the belts from the new Veschi jumpsuits. I used the blush color, to match with LeLutka's Saffron Pumps in Electric Pink.
The poses are all from the Pose Fair, which will be closing down tomorow. The first pose is from Get Bent, a new-to-me pose shop; they have a set for fluffier girls, which is great. This one is called Show the Curves. The second pose is from (with love & squalor), and is called confessions of a pig. What a great name! I love it. Even though the poses are not specifically made for larger avs, they work well with me. The last pose is from DARE, and is simply called Fierce Deep Lunge.
The hair I chose, well, you've seen before. My makeup adds some brightness and a higher sense of style to my look. The skin is a (vive9) freebie.
The outfit still looked a little bare, like it was missing something. I sifted through my jewelery box until I found the perfect necklace.
To show you the necklace in all of its' glory, I had to put my hair up (!lamb. Unbirthday - Snickers), and take off my jacket. It is from Atelier AM, and comes in a longer version, too. It is very fashiony, but is also a piece that you can dress down easily.
Doesn't this picture look like it belongs in a magazine?

The hair I chose, well, I'm pretty obsessed with. It is an older hairstyle from !lamb called Witch. It is a perfect blend of hardcore and mellowness. Perfect with this outfit, right? Perfect with any outfit, really.
This pose is from the "This is a Barb" set, and is called Paper Kitten Nightmare. It looks like I'm being all dramatic about something. I love how the leg is up slightly, and my hand is carressing my face. Just the whole look is really innocent, which I like.
This pose is called Relfections of a Marionette. It's also from the "This is a Barb" set. It's awkward, but pretty. I could see a real life model pulling this off. The knees are bent, and the arms risen slightly. Perfection.
From the "Full of Secrets" pose set, here is Romantic Comedy. It's a sassy pose, with your hand over your head, and your head is looking over your shoulder.Style Notes:
Every Pic:
The base of this outfit is pretty simple. The ever-chic pencil skirt starts off the outfit. I chose the black simplicity version from /artilleri/. On my top half, sits a Fri.Day freebie, the white cami. Both are well shaded; the folds near the stomach on the skirt is done to perfection.
The focal point of this outfit is this great red trench from (P-K). Polina Kaestner, owner and creator of (P-K), and her new store, La Masion Kaestner, did a wonderful job on the details. As you can see above and below, the jacket isn't just one tone. Ms. Kaestner blended shades of red to achieve a realistic look. It appears like it would in real life, which isn't easy to do in SL(tm). The prims are modifiable, so I could fit the coat to my dimentions. The collar and jacket bottom is one prim, so it makes it that much easier to adjust. You get all layers, so their will be no layer conflict.
This outfit called for a simple, yet sexy makeup. I just bought two fatpacks of *Cupcakes new Genius line, in the Cocoa tone. This makeup is light enough for spring, but isn't too inappropriate for work. It is called Paper.
Oh, how I wish I had this jacket in RL! It is beautiful! So Many Styles always does a good job on vintage-inspired fashions like this jacket. It looks so soft, like the velvet navy blue vintage Ralph Lauren Polo blazer I own in RL.
I decided to pair it with a spring/summer staple: jean shorts. And what's the go-to store for the best wardrobe essentials? Well, it's Fri.Day, of course! I opted for the Regular wash. I adore the wrinkles that appear on real jean shorts. The hair is !lamb.'s Witch in Kit Kat. I love it because it can go with high fashion ensembles, or it can be dressed casually. In the first picture, you can kind of see the bun in the back. I wish I could pull this off in real life!

Epine is a gown, with a full length skirt and a shorter, poofier skirt over it. The top has a sweetheart neckline. The pattern of the short skirt and top is a rich, French-inspired flowery print. It kind of reminds me of a fleur de lis. The cups of the top are wired; even so, they're barely holding me in! The skirt is a bit tight, so it's pulling across my legs.
Without the long skirt, the short skirt looks extra poofy! I let my hair down; this look has a younger vibe to it than the full outfit does.
This face should look familiar. She's from *CUPCAKES, and I love her. She definitely has a more intense look than the (vive9) girls. Not saying that's a bad thing.
Remember that *COCO* skirt I couldn't find a top for? I found one! House of Fox, loving referred to as HOF, has a beautiful sheer top. It comes with the neck ruff, shown, cuffs, and shoulder ruffles, that are not shown.
This sheer is perfectly executed. The shadows are great, and I love the highlight on the tummy. The pin-tucks are an ingenious detail. It's tastefully done, I think. To tame it down a bit, I used a bra from Kenzie and Co., which is in a bag of freebies. I think it balances, yet adds to, the drama of the outfit.
One of my favorite skins is from the (vive9) freebie giveaway, which, sadly, is over. This is the GoldRush makeup. The face looks very soft, and I love the gold makeup. The lips are juciy, and the nose is perfect.Style Notes:
Skin: (vive9) Twiggy [deep brew] GoldRush 1 Skin
Hair: !lamb. Unbirthday - Snickers
Ears: *UB* Elf Ear *plain*
Eyes: *Zanzo* Aegean (Delphi)
Shape: custom
Shirt: HouseofFox :: BlackSheerTop
Skirt: *COCO*_RuffleSkirt_Lace-Black
Bra: Kenzie & Co.- Black bra
Shoes: - TESLA - Vixen_II Classic *Black* Stilettoes
Poses: Pididdle - Small; (pda) Go Home

The details are perfect, and I love the shadows on it. The filigree pattern is the best. I love it! Wanna touch it? I do.
These antlers are giving me a headache!
I wanted to show this skin really well. It's a (vive9) freebie, and I love the rosy cheeks. It is from the Aerin line, in the [afro] tone, in the DayBreak makeup. It goes excellently with the spring vibe of the dress. The indent above the mouth is a bit intense, but I kind of like it.
